Philadelphia Chapter
Background
H.O.M.I.E.S Inc was founded in Philadelphia, PA. We saw the need for resourcing and networking for the black students in the city. The reception we have received in the academic spaces has been encouraging and we look to do more for the city. Our goal will continue to be to connect black mentors with black mentees. Partnerships
Our first school partnership was with Masterman High School. With the support of their faculty and Equity coordinator, we created successful mentor and mentee pairings. For the following school year, we plan to establish a network of high school students in the city. There are many ways you can support our organization.
